Get the summer outdoor alfresco feel with festoon lights, this 10metre long set has 14 globes spaced at 700 millimetre intervals. We have found this to be perfect spacing offering the perfect amount of light over the entertaining area.

This model features the globe directly mounted to the main support wire (No drop wire), this creates a different look but also keeps the globes up higher if they are hanging too low across your entertaining area.

Our Festoon lights are Low Voltage (12 volts) making them safe for use outside in the weather and even over a pool, you can rest easy knowing that there is no way you can receive an electrical shock from these lights if something was to go wrong.

These Festoon lights feature the globe dropped from the main suspension wire giving the lights the ultimate festoon look and feel.

This product is for a 10 metre length complete with warm white globes, it is the string only, you will require a Driver to power the lights. This product is sold without driver for customers that want to connect the festoon lights to their other garden lighting they have within the backyard.

- We have researched our globes and found that glass globes work the best, the glass stays clear for a long period of time and transmits the lights from the globe best.  However this makes the globes fragile so please take care when installing the string.  Best practice is to install the string then finish off adding the globes. (we have trialed plastic globes in the past to make them stronger however they yellowed after time in our harsh sun,  glass globes work best).

Festoon strings can be strung up with a large span however this increases the risk of a join in the wire failing if too much tension is put on the string.  During storms the festoons lights can swing about with the wind and this increases the tension of the joints causing them to fail.  for spans over 5 metres we recommend the use of our festoon suspension kit, included in this kit are mounting brackets and stainless steel wire that can be pulled taut, the festoon string can then be connected to this wire.  The wire will then act as the support taking the load off the wire and the joints in the wire.
